The Municipality of Barcelos is represented for the first time at BTravel Barcelona, one of the most prestigious international tourism fairs, which takes place in the capital of Catalonia from today until March 26th.
After being present at BTL (Lisbon Tourism Exchange), Barcelos continues its territorial promotion strategy, showcasing the tourism potential of the region, asserting itself as a multifaceted destination, with particular emphasis on the distinction of UNESCO Creative City, but also as a favorable territory for nature, historical, heritage and cultural tourism experiences.
This presence in Barcelona is also an excellent opportunity to promote the Festa das Cruzes, the first major pilgrimage of Minho and a poster of excellence in tradition, religiosity, culture and leisure.
It should be noted that BTravel is a fair targeted at a high propensity audience for tourism trips with high purchasing power. The fair has a format focused on tourist experiences for visitors who want to customize their trips based on motivations, valuing differentiated, authentic, and exclusive offerings.
In this perspective, the Municipality of Barcelos, inserted in the stand of the Porto and North of Portugal regional entity, provides visitors to the event with creative actions and playful experiences, such as painting Barcelos roosters.
The promotion program also includes gastronomy and wine tastings, promotion of handicrafts, the Way of Saint James, pedestrian routes, the Barcelos Fair, and the different economic agents linked to the sector, namely accommodation and restaurant units and tourism animation promoters.
