A obra terá uma duração de 24 meses e resultará num centro social melhor, requalificado e com maior capacidade de resposta social.
Segundo o provedor da Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Barcelos, Nuno Reis, esta intervenção representa “o maior investimento da história da instituição em Silveiros”.
A intervenção permitirá ampliar e melhorar as respostas sociais e o serviço prestado na zona sul do concelho de Barcelos, com mais 50 vagas em lar para pessoas idosas e 30 vagas ao domicílio, além de mais 40 vagas em creche para crianças.
O arranque dos trabalhos está previsto já em abril.
Santa Casa de Barcelos signed the consignment order for the expansion work of the Social Center Comendadora Maria Eva Nunes Corrêa, in Silveiros.
The work will last for 24 months and will result in a better social centre, reclassified and with greater capacity for social response.
According to the provider of Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Barcelos, Nuno Reis, this intervention represents “the biggest investment in the history of the institution in Silveiros”.
The intervention will expand and improve social responses and the service provided in the southern area of the municipality of Barcelos, with over 50 places in a home for the elderly and 30 places at home, in addition to another 40 places in a nursery for children.
The start of work is scheduled for April.
